City officials in Flowery Branch say it has become necessary to amend the city’s swimming pool and spa regulations with a requirement that all pools and spas comply with the current edition of the International Swimming Pool and Spa Code (ISPSC) together with state regulations.
The goal is to “achieve statewide uniformity, enhance public safety, and eliminate conflicts with mandatory state codes,” according to documents on file with the city. The council will consider the matter when it meets Wednesday night.

Also at the meeting, the new mayor will be sworn in as well recently elected/re-elected council members. And a mayor pro-tem will be selected by the council.
