*Flu activity in Georgia is increasing, as it is in many other parts of the country. The CDC reportedTuesday that the Peach State is listed as very high for the flu. Latest information from the Georgia Department of Public Health shows that more than 900 flu-related hospitalizations have occurred in metro Atlanta since the beginning of October. Doctors are still encouraging you to get a flu vaccine.
*Finding storage space in Atlanta shouldn’t be a problem as the new year begins. The industry research firm StorageCafe reports that the Atlanta market was tops in the U.S. thi year for space in new storage facilities at 2.2-million-squre feet. The national average for new storage spaces completed in 2025 actually fell by more than 20-percent.
*Christie’s, the renown NYC auction house, is set to auction off several items once owned by the late former President Jimmy Carter and First Lady Rosalynn. The “American Collector: sale will feature items including a handwritten birthday note, political campaign buttons, a wooden coffee table, paintings, and more. Christie’s says some of the proceeds will go to a charitable donation from the Carter family. Jimmy Carter died a year ago. Rosalynn passed away in 2023. The auction begins January 16.
