FBPD: ‘Suspicious encounter’ leads to drug arrest

FLOWERY BRANCH POLICE DEPT. (FBPD) NEWS RELEASE:

“(Saturday) officers with the Flowery Branch
Police Department made contact with Dwayne Goldware, 44, of Auburn, while he
was seated in a vehicle at a business in the 5800 block of Spout Springs Road.

During the interaction, Officers detected the odor of marijuana emanating from
Dwayne’s vehicle. Based on probable cause, Officers conducted a search of the
vehicle. During the search, Officers located multiple types of pills contained in
unlabeled bottles. The pills were later identified as Oxycodone and
Cyclobenzaprine.

Officers also discovered marijuana, multiple items of drug-related equipment
consistent with the sale of narcotics, and a loaded firearm inside the vehicle.
Goldware was placed under arrest without incident and transported to the Hall
County Detention Center, where he was booked on the following charges:

  • Possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime
  • Possession of a dangerous drug
  • Drugs not in the original container
  • Possession with intent to sell Marijuana
  • Possession of a Schedule II controlled substance
  • Possession of Drug Related Object”
