*A man shoots himself inside Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on Sunday. Police say a man entered the airport, went up an escalator, then shot himself in a baggage claim area in the afternoon. He was taken to the hospital in stable condition and will face charges. Officials said airport operations were not affected by the shooting.
*A Georgia Senate study committee has approved recommendations aimed at easing financial and workforce challenges facing over a million family caregivers statewide. Lawmakers say the proposals focus on expanding caregiver eligibility, improving coordination of services, and addressing barriers faced by older and minority caregivers. The recommendations are expected to guide future legislation as Georgia’s senior population continues to grow.
*Spirit and Truth Church announced during Sunday services that it plans to eliminate one-point-five-million dollars in medical debt for people in need across metro Atlanta. Church officials say the initiative is intended to benefit more than 11-hundred individuals and families in Cobb, DeKalb, Fulton, and Henry counties.
