Respiratory illnesses are on the rise in the Peach State.

The CDC says Georgia has risen to a moderate level for the season, which usually begins around October. More than 300 people have had to go to the hospital for flu-like symptoms, while nine deaths have been reported.

The director of epidemiology at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta told WSB-TV that there has been a decline in vaccination rates.
