FLOWERY BRANCH POLICE NARRATIVE:
“(On Tuesday) Officers with the Flowery Branch Police
Department responded to the area of Atlanta Highway and Spring Street in reference to a
reported hit-and-run accident involving a City of Flowery Branch vehicle. Georgia State Patrol
responded and assisted in working the accident.
Upon arrival, Officers conducted an on-scene investigation and were able to obtain information
regarding the suspect’s vehicle that fled the scene following the collision. Multiple witnesses
later reported locating the vehicle in the area of McEver Road and Friendship Road.
Flowery Branch Officers subsequently located the suspect’s vehicle in that same area and made
contact with the driver, identified as James Osborne, 55, of Suwanee. Osborne was taken into
custody without incident.
Osborne was evaluated by EMS at the scene and later transported to the Hall County Detention
Center, where he was booked on the following charges:
*Operating an Unsafe Vehicle
*DUI
*Duty to Stop at an Accident (Hit and Run)
