Cold Weather Advisory

A Cold Weather Advisory has been issued for all of north and central Georgia.

It is in effect from 6:00 Sunday night until 8:00 Monday morning for “wind chills in the teens and a few single digit values…please prepare for a cold morning commute (Monday) and avoid prolonged exposure to the cold, when possible,” the National Weather Service (NWS) advisory says.

The actual temperatures will plunge into the low 20s and teens Sunday night into Monday morning.

A 50 percent chance of showers, mainly between 9pm and 4am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 35. West wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Sunny, with a temperature rising to near 40 by 9am, then falling to around 32 during the remainder of the day. Northwest wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Clear, with a low around 19. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light and variable after midnight.

Sunny, with a high near 41. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.
