GPD: Fugitive from incident at homeless camp arrested

A 44-year-old man wanted for almost three months following an incident at a Gainesville homeless camp is finally in custody.

“Warrants were taken after a 9/14/25 incident at the Flat Creek homeless encampment,” police spokesman Kevin Holbrook wrote in an email Tuesday. “(Aquil Hasain Robinson) did allegedly have suspected illegal narcotics, threw them in the creek and fled on foot. He was just arrested on the warrants.”

Robinson is charged with:

* OBSTRUCTION-RESISTING OFFICER/ARREST (2 counts)
*LITTERING PUBLIC OR PRIVATE PROPERTY
*TAMPERING W/ EVIDENCE – FELONY

He was arrested Monday and is being held in the Hall County Jail on bonds totaling $16,830.
