A Gainesville man is free on bond following his arrest on elderly abuse and neglect charges.
Police say Ajani Omari Lee, a caretaker for a 71- year-old family member, deprived the relative of “healthcare and necessary sustenance for their well-being.”
“The investigation began after the elderly male was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with multiple third-degree burns, cuts and bruises across his body,” Capt. Kevin Holbrook said.
A spokeswoman for the Hall County Sheriff’s Office says Lee was released on $26,000 bond.
