The search for a 67-year-old Gainesville native, last known to be hiking in the northeast Georgia mountains, entered its third day Friday.
The accompanying photo shows what Charles Hosch was wearing the last known time he was seen. “If you were near or on the Appalachian Trail/Mountain Crossing Store on the 11th and saw Charles, please let us know,” says a Facebook post from the Union County Sheriff’s Office (UCSO).
Contact the county’s Emergency Operations Center at (706) 439-6091 or dial 911.
Hosch, has been missing since Tuesday, when he set out for a hike on the Byron Herbert Reece Trail near Blood Mountain in Union County – an area he has known and loved since his youth in Gainesville, says a posting by the Dallas, Texas law firm where he worked, Hosch & Morris.
