Atlanta is expected to be the home for a new professional women’s soccer team.
The Athletic reports Falcons and Atlanta United owner Arthur Blank is finalizing a deal for an organization in the National Women’s Soccer League, or NWSL.
An announcement on the team could come as early as Tuesday, when a summit to celebrate women’s sports in Atlanta will be held.
