*The Hall County Commission will be asked Nov. 13 to rezone a 10-acre tract on Old Winder Highway near the Daylily Drive intersection. The applicant wants the property zoned Planned Residential Development (PRD). It’s now Agricultural-Residential I (AR-I). The new zoning classification would clear the way for the construction of 44 townhomes.
*Meanwhile, the county has begun taking bids on the Phase 2 realignment of White Sulphur Road. Proposals are due Nov. 20. County officials announced in July that Phase 1 had been completed and that Phase 2 was underway, with design and right-of-way acquisitions in process. Ultimately, Phase II will widen White Sulphur Road from the entrance of the Blue Ridge Connector to Ga. 365.
