“Mum” was the word Monday from state and local authorities concerning the death investigation that began Sunday night in the South Hall area.
Both the Hall County Sheriff’s Office and Oakwood Police Department, who were on the scene along with the GBI, referring all inquiries to the state agency.
But, as late as mid-afternoon, the GBI was sticking to the statement it issued Sunday night following some media inquiries: “We can confirm that GBI was requested by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office and Oakwood Police Department to assist with a death investigation. As the case is active, no further information can be released at this time.”
