A cool airmass will dominate in Georgia this week, according to the National Weather Service, after some much-needed rain.
“High temperatures will be 10 to 15 degrees below average across north and central Georgia for the entire workweek, the latest advisory says. “Some warming is expected for Halloween, but you can still expect it to be on the cooler side.”
But first, a low-pressure system will roll in from Alabama Sunday night bringing with it an 80 percent chance of rain across north Georgia. Widespread rainfall totals of 1-1.5 inches are expected, which should help with the ongoing drought but won’t end it.
