Despite the government shutdown, recreation areas on Lake Lanier are continuing to operate under “normal seasonal” regulations, according to the Corps of Engineers.
However, the agency, in a statement issued Thursday, added that for the most up-to-date information, you should visit the Corps Recreation Operational States Dashboard at Corps Lakes Recreation Operational Status
Many federal offices/facilities across the country have been closed or have cut back on services because of the shutdown that began Monday.
