GDOT UPDATE 6:00 P.M.:
“The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is advising motorists that Green Street at Green Street Place is CLOSED after a large oak tree limb fell, damaging power lines and power poles.
Georgia Power is on scene and estimates the closure will last 3β6 hours.
Detour Routes
- Southbound to Northbound Travelers:
- Head east on Jesse Jewell Parkway
- Turn left onto Limestone Parkway
- Continue to the end of Limestone Parkway
- Turn left onto Cleveland Highway
- Turn right onto Oak Tree Drive (SR 60 Connector)
- Northbound to Southbound Travelers:
- From Cleveland Hwy, turn left onto Oak Tree Drive (SR 60 Connector)
- Turn left onto Limestone Parkway
- Continue on Limestone Parkway
- Turn right onto Jesse Jewell Parkway
Motorists should expect delays and are urged to use caution in the area.
