A vigil for Charlie Kirk was held on the quad at the University of North Georgia Gainesville campus Friday night.
The event was organized by Young Americans for Freedom, College Republicans, and Kirk’s Turning Point USA. Featured speakers included several state and local elected officials and 9th District Republican Party Chairman Stephen Aaron.
“Every speaker reflected on what Charlie meant to this nation and our movement — reminding us to carry forward the values he embodied: civil discourse, liberty, and a brighter future for America,” the party said in a Facebook post.
“And above all, we were reminded: we cannot live in fear. We must continue the work. For Charlie.”
