The motorcyclist who was killed during a morning rush hour accident on Dawsonville Highway was James Asay, 51, Gainesville, according to Gainesville Police.
“Police responded to Dawsonville Highway and Green Hill Circle for a traffic crash around 7:00am,” spokesman Kevin Holbrook wrote in an email Friday afternoon. “A 2004 Harley Davidson, driven by Jamison Asay had collided with a 1997 Chevrolet Silverado.”
Lt. Holbrook says Asay died at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.
The Silverado was driven by Mack Collins, 78, Gainesville, who was not injured.
