HCSO: Two killed in separate weekend accidents

Two people were killed in separate weekend traffic accidents investigated by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO).

HCSO NEWS RELEASES:

“The Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Accident Investigation Unit (AIU) is investigating a single-vehicle early Sunday morning…traffic accident that claimed the life of a Duluth man.

AIU investigators responded to the wreck on Poplar Springs Road near Pine Vale Road at approximately 3 a.m.

According to the preliminary investigation, Adrian D. Rodriguez Gil, 28, lost control of his 2017 Honda Civic in a curve. The car hit a tree and caught fire. Hall County Fire Rescue extinguished the fire and removed Gil from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead on the scene… Rodriguez Gil was traveling alone.

Poplar Springs Road was blocked for approximately one hour, 30 minutes…”

About three hours later, a Cleveland, Ga., man was found dead at the site of a motorcycle wreck.

HCSO Uniform Patrol deputies spotted a motorcycle on its side off Southers Road near Ledan Road at
approximately 6:30 a.m., Sunday… Deputies found the deceased rider near the motorcycle and
identified him as Bobby Jonathon Terry, 51. AIU responded to investigate

According to preliminary details, Terry was negotiating a curve on Southers Road when he lost control of his 2005 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail Classic. Terry laid the motorcycle down, and it slid through grass and hit a tree.

The exact time the crash happened is currently unknown.

Southers Road was blocked for roughly one hour during the investigation..”
