NGTC holds ribbon cutting for Purcell Hall

North Georgia Technical College (NGTC) recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on its Clarkesville campus to celebrate the reopening of Purcell Hall, which now serves as the home of the college’s Electrical Systems program.

Under the leadership of instructor Gary Hosemann, Electrical Systems students will use the newly renovated space to gain hands-on training that prepares them for in-demand careers across the region.

Purcell Hall, originally built in 1969, has been a cornerstone of the NGTC campus for decades. The building previously housed the Precision Machining program before that program relocated to the Industrial Technology Center in 2019. Renovations to Purcell Hall were made possible through nearly five million dollars in state funds.
