The number of building permits of all kinds issued by the City of Gainesville last month totaled 212 for construction expected to cost $13.2 million.
That includes 39 permits for new, single-family homes with at anticipated cost of $8.2 million and two new commercial buildings with a total construction price tag of $1.7 million.
Commercial repairs, remodeling, additions, etc. numbered 14. Estimated cost at completion? $1.8 million. Residential in the same category? 18 @ one million dollars total.
The rest of the permits covered such things and HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.
