NOPD: Gainesville last known location of New Orleans fugitive

New Orleans Police say a man they are looking for on a number of charges including identity theft and bank fraud was last known to be in Gainesville.

Anthony Kip Pazol, 57, allegedly defrauded a victim in New Orleans earlier this year.

“On the afternoon of January 10, around 2:00 p.m., Pazol reportedly committed the crimes on Laharpe Street,” police say. “At the time of the incident, the suspect is said to have falsely claimed he represented an unnamed Sheriff’s Office. According to the NOPD’s social media post, Pazol’s activities included illegal transmission of monetary funds and access device fraud involving an amount between $1,000 and $5,000. His last known location was in Gainesville, Georgia, though it’s unclear if he remains there presently.”

Police urge anyone with information about the crime or Pazol’s current whereabouts to immediately contact First District detectives at 504-658-6010. Additionally, anyone wishing to provide information anonymously can do so by calling Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.
