HCSO probing two recent burglaries, 8 vehicle break-ins

Hall County authorities have launched investigations into two recent burglaries, one of which occurred at a pharmacy and resulted in the loss of some drugs, and eight vehicle break-ins. Detectives are seeking the public’s help in solving the vehicle theft cases.

HALL CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE (HCSO) NARRATIVES:

“Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) property crimes investigators are working to identify the person who burglarized Wauka Mountain Pharmacy on Cleveland Highway in Clermont on Monday….

The owner of the pharmacy reported the break-in just before 10 a.m. after arriving at work to find a hole in the back wall of the business where the offender made entry. The investigation determined the suspect stole four bottles of Tramadol, which is a painkiller.

Investigators are in the process of reviewing video footage, but they do not have a good description of a suspect at this time.”

SECOND INCIDENT:

“The owner of a commercial property in the 4200 block of Winder Highway…reported a weekend burglary Monday…

Three buildings are located on the property, including an abandoned church building. The…owner provided surveillance footage to an HCSO property crimes investigator, showing four suspects on the property late Sunday night…. 

At this time, there is no information on what might have been stolen from the property.”

VEHICLE BREAK-INS:

These incidents occurred Sunday afternoon in the parking lot of the Brenau University softball field in New Holland..

NARRATIVE:

“HCSO deputies responded to the call at approximately 5:15 p.m. Sunday in the lot for the Ernest Ledford Grindle Athletic Park at 1854 Jesse Jewell Parkway Southeast. Deputies met with the victims, Brenau students, whose vehicles had been entered while they were practicing softball at the complex.

According to the initial investigation, the suspect or suspects broke windows on five of the vehicles to gain entry. Three were unlocked. The thief/thieves took numerous personal items during the incident. The crimes unfolded between approximately 3:15 and 5:10 p.m.
