HCSO NARRATIVE :

“The Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Accident Investigation Unit (AIU) continues its investigation of a weekend accident that injured two teens and blocked a northwest Hall County roadway for an extended time.

According to the initial investigation, around 12:15 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, the driver of a 2015 Jeep Wrangler was traveling northbound on Ledan Road in the left-hand curve just before Southers Road. A dense fog had settled in the area, and the driver lost control of the Jeep in the curve. The vehicle crossed over the southbound lane of Ledan Road, striking a ditch and then overturning.

Two passengers in the vehicle, a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old (Chasen Jones, the basketball player), sustained injuries in the accident. Both were transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center-Gainesville for treatment. The driver, identified as Isaac Randolph, 17, was not injured in the crash.

All three occupants of the vehicle live in Gainesville.”

Jones, one of the key players on the EHHS squad, was listed over the weekend as being in serious condition. But Adam Rich, the athletic director at East Hall, told 97.5 Glory FM Monday he was expected to go home Tuesday.
