An 18-year Atlanta man, who is dating a student at Apalachee High School, was arrested at the school Wednesday afternoon after authorities say he had no business being there.
The Barrow County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) says Herson Galindo is charged with criminal trespass, possession of a schedule one narcotic, and possession of drugs on school grounds.
A news release from the sheriff’s office says Galindo who is a student at Tri Cities High School in East Point, rode a bus to Apalachee with girlfriend. Another student saw Galindo loitering in the hallways and hiding in a restroom and reported him to an SRO (School Resource Officer) at the school, which was the scene of a mass shooting last September that left four people dead, and several others wounded.
The sheriff’s office says Galindo had a vape pen containing THC and he did not have a weapon.
