Kevin McDaniel, COO of Oakwood-based Wayne-Sanderson Farms, has been named secretary of the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association. The election was announced at the International Poultry & Production Exposition being held this week in Atlanta.
With more than 34 years of industry experience, McDaniel recently served as president of Aviagen North America, as well as held senior roles with OK Foods and Pilgrim’s. In addition to U.S. Poultry, McDaniel currently sits on the board of directors for the National Chicken Council and Southern Hens and previously held several key positions with The Poultry Federation.
As chief operating officer for Wayne-Sanderson, he oversees the fresh, retail and prepared foods business units in addition to leading the engineering and marketing functions.
