Herrington to lead HCBOE again; FCBOC chooses leadership for 2025

*At Monday night’s Hall County Board of Education (HCBOE meeting, Craig Herrington was elected to another term as board chairman. Bill Thompson was named vice-chairman. Also Tuesday night Hall County Probate Judge Patty Walters Laine swore Herrington in for another four-year term and newcomer Beau Sheppard took the oath of office.

*In Cumming, meanwhile, the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners (FCBOC) elected Commissioner Alfred John to another term as the Board’s chairman, his fourth consecutive year in the role. Commissioner Kerry Hill was named to her second consecutive year as vice chairwoman, and Commissioner Mendy Moore was elected secretary. Unlike Hall County, the board chairman is not elected by a vote of the people.
