Kidnapping, battery of an unborn child, numerous fraud/swindle cases opened were opened the past few days by authorities in Hall County.
The kidnapping and battery of an unborn child charges were filed against a 38-year-old man Thursday night, according to Hall County Jail records. Other charges growing out of the same incident include aggravated battery, false imprisonment, 911 obstruction, theft by taking, and aggravated assault. He is being held on bonds totaling $2,600 on the 911 obstruction and theft by taking charges but without bond on the others.
The $9,000+ theft case involved a Browns Bridge Road business, according to Gainesville Police spokesman Kevin Holbrook. Holbrook says the firm reported a loss of $9,500 after a check that was intended for a vendor was cashed “under another name.”
