Kohl’s and Macy’s are each planning to close in Duluth and Suwanee.
Kohl’s plans to close its Duluth location on Liddell Road as part of part of a plan to shutter 27 underperforming stores, according to a company news release. The stores will be closed by April.
Macy’s is moving ahead with plans announced a year ago to close 66 stores, including the one in Suwanee and two in Duluth. Most are also expected to close by the end of April. The company plans to close 150 underperforming stores while at the same time investing more heavily in 350 stores that will remain open, according to a news release.
