Foul play is not suspected in the death of a Decatur man whose body was found this week in a creek in White County.
The county sheriff’s office says Joseph Schaber, 43, was found in Mossy Creek Wednesday night by some people who had been looking for him because he was overdue after leaving home to go kayaking in the creek.
Schaber’s wife and three friends who often went kayaking with him began search for him.
The cause of death was not immediately determined, and the body has been sent to the state crime lab for an autopsy.
