A resurfacing project in Jackson County is among the latest road projects approved by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) board.
The work will involve 1.6 miles of resurfacing on Georgia 98 beginning near Washington Street and extending to near Ila Road. The $1.4 million project has an expected completion date of next September 30.
It was one of 23 projects across the state recently approved by the board, encompassing bridge rehabilitation, resurfacing, construction, safety improvements, and new bridge construction.
