The fourth of four suspects in a July home invasion in Flowery Branch turned herself in over the weekend. Assistant Flowery Branch Police Chief Todd Templeton says the department received word Sunday that Tara Chandler, 45, had surrendered at the Hall County Jail. That is where she was being held, without bond, as late as mid-afternoon Monday.
FLOWERY BRANCH POLICE DEPT. (FBPD) NEWS RELEASE:
“On July 15, 2024, officers with the Flowery Branch Police Department responded
to a distress call from a residence on Lorimar Court regarding an unauthorized
home entry and domestic dispute. The victim reported that multiple individuals
had forcibly entered the home, made threats of physical harm, and pointed a
firearm at them before fleeing the scene.
Following a thorough investigation, three suspects—Zachary Chandler, 38, Tara
Chandler, 45, and Samuel Lopez, 29—were identified as being involved in the
incident. All three suspects are residents of Flowery Branch. Arrest warrants
were issued for charges including Home Invasion, Burglary, and Aggravated
Assault.
The investigation continued as authorities worked to identify a fourth suspect,
who was initially unknown to investigators. After additional inquiries and
evidence discovery, Giovanni Khiry Hartsfield, 35, of Gainesville, was identified
as the fourth individual involved in the home invasion.
As a result of combined efforts by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office and Flowery
Branch Police Department, both Samuel Lopez and Giovanni Hartsfield were
independently located and arrested.
On November 7th…Flowery Branch Police received word that Zachary
Chandler was taken into custody by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office… “and then Sunday came word that Tara Chandler was in custody.
