Thanksgiving Day stabbing under investigation

A Thanksgiving stabbing of one woman by another ended when the alleged attacker turned herself in but not before she took some measures before the incident to apparently hide what was about to happen.

HALL CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE (HCSO) NARRATIVE:

“Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) investigators charged a Gainesville woman with aggravated assault…for a Thursday morning…stabbing at a residence in the 2000 block of Maverick Trail.

Deputies responded to the call at approximately 11 a.m. According to the initial investigation, the female victim, 38, was inside the home when the suspect, Marsha Gabrielle Prado Salazar, 34, arrived. Noticing Prado Salazar outside, the victim opened the door, and Prado Salazar cut the victim’s face with a fixed-blade knife and left the scene. Prado Salazar cut the cable to a security camera at the residence prior to the assault.

Hall County Fire Rescue transported the victim to the hospital for treatment. As deputies were investigating, Prado Salazar called 911 and reported her location. Deputies picked her up in the 800 block of Sunset Boulevard and transported her to HCSO Headquarters.

In addition to aggravated assault, deputies charged Prado Salazar with misdemeanor criminal trespass.

She was booked into the Hall County Jail following arrest, where she (remained Monday afternoon) on $4,680 bond.”
