Monthly report on state unemployment insurance applications

First-time applications for unemployment insurance last month were down 2.2% in Hall County and up 4.5% compared to September a year ago.

Claims statewide in October increased by 46.1% compared to September and 32.2% compared to last October. In the Georgia Mountains Region, which includes Hall County, applications increased 6.1 and 17.2 percent respectively.
