Boyfriend charged with running down girlfriend with his car

A 19-year-old Gainesville man remained in the Hall County Jail Wednesday morning following his arrest last Thursday after he allegedly chased his girlfriend down a road with his car, struck her and then left the scene. Hall County authorities say it was the result of a dispute between the pair and happened in the 1200 block of Marlowe Road.

HALL CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE (HCSO) NARRATIVE:

“Deputies met with the female victim, 20, who had been in a domestic dispute with the suspect, Sebastian Sierra, 19, of Gainesville, at a residence in the area. According to the preliminary investigation, the victim left the residence, and Sierra chased after her with his car as she ran down the street. He ran into her and left the scene before deputies arrived.

Hall County Fire Rescue responded and medically evaluated the victim, who suffered a bruise on her arm and scrapes on her knee. She did not require transport to a hospital.

Deputies obtained a warrant for Sierra’s arrest on a charge of aggravated assault under the Family Violence Act. They took him into custody on Saturday afternoon…at his residence on Tyner Drive.”

Bond has been set at $23,430.
