$3K+ construction site burglary; vandals strike another site

Hall County authorities are investing a recently reported construction site theft.

“Deputies responded to the (3700 block of Wahoo Falls Trace) to a call about a burglary,” Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) spokesman Derreck Booth wrote in an email Tuesday. “This is the Publix center under construction in North Hall County.”

Booth said the complainant arrived at the jobsite on Friday morning and noticed several items taken from the onsite office.

“These included a laser level, some boots and fishing equipment. The crime occurred during the night/overnight. The estimated value of the items is roughly $3,400.”

Meanwhile, vandals caused about $1,000 worth of damages at a house on Union Heights Way in Flowery Branch about the same time. “An individual or individuals damaged some cabinets, a bathtub and a sink in a house under construction,” Booth wrote.
