UGA getting $250K from Ole Miss for ‘field rush’

(GEORGIA NEWS NETWORK) – Ole Miss is going to pay a large fine for the “field storming” that occurred Saturday at the end of the school’s football team’s game with Georgia. The Southeastern Conference is forcing the school to pay UGA $250,000 based on rules revamped last year. Fans rushed the field after the Rebels took down the Dawgs. Mississippi was initially fined $100,000 for another field rush last year, so this year’s fine was larger.
