*The retiring President & CEO of Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS), Carol Burrell, has been named 2024 CEO by the Georgia Alliance of Community Hospitals (GACH), an organization that represents not-for-profit health systems and hospitals in the state. Burrell, who has held the offices since 2011, announced her retirement plans in February, and a few months ago received the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
*The new president of Chick-fil-A will be feted at a “community reception” at Gainesville High School Thursday. Susannah Frost is a GHS graduate. The two-hour event begins at 4:30 and will include a brief program at 5:15 according to organizers.
