(GEORGIA NEWS NETWORK) -Students at Apalachee High School returned to classes full time Monday for the first time since last month’s deadly shooting. Classes were held on half-day status starting Sept. 24 and then students took their Fall Break.
Barrow County school officials have added more police officers on campus since reopening, while therapy dogs and counselors have also been available to students and staff members still recovering from the trauma of four people being killed and nine wounded. They’ve also shuttered the hallway were the shooting occurred.
A 14-year-old student at the school, Colt Gray, is charged with the mass shooting. His father has also been arrested and charged because he gave the gun to his son.
