A new McDonald’s restaurant is in the works for Oakwood, but the would-be developers are seeking some leeway in some of the restrictions on the site they have chosen.
It would be located in the Kroger Shopping Center on Winder Highway, according to the agenda for Monday night’s Oakwood City Council meeting.
But the would-be developers are seeking some leeway in some of the restrictions on the site they have chosen.
Integrity Engineering and Development Services, Inc. has made application for several variances on a portion of property. The firm is seeking less restrictive setback, buffer, and off-street parking requirements “due to the limited size of the commercial outparcel and utility easements at the rear of the site.”
Oakwood is already home to a long-established McDonald’s on Mundy Mill Road at I-985.
Also at Monday’s meeting, the council is expected to consider an annexation-rezoning request for a two-acre site at 2926 Atlanta Highway where a “car wash and oil change” business is proposed, and adoption of the city’s new budget.
