HCBOC to consider 250+ residential units at Thurs. meeting

More than 250 new housing units will be on the line when the Hall County Board of Commissioners (HCBOC) meets Thursday afternoon. There’s also a request for a convenience store in South Hall on the agenda.

The largest of the residential developments would be located at JM Turk Road and Gurth Road and consist of 251 units. A five-lot subdivision is planned on Old Fork Road at Brand Drive and the convenience store request is for the McEver Road-Lights Ferry Road intersection.

Also on the agenda: Consideration of approval of a list of 14 various county roads to be resurfaced as part of the Georgia Department of Transportation’s (GDOT) Local Maintenance Improvement Program at a cost of $3.6 million.

In addition, the commissioners will consider awarding a $20.9 million contract with Lakeshore Engineering, LLC, of Atlanta for a 1.6 million-gallons-per-day expansion of the Spout Springs Water Reclamation Facility.
