The Gainesville man arrested Sunday night following a serious injury wreck on E.E. Butler Parkway is a facing an unrelated charge in connection with something that happened earlier that evening in another part of the county.
HALL COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE NARRATIVE:
“Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) deputies charged a Gainesville man with aggravated battery (felony) under the Family Violence Act following an…incident in the Sardis area.
According to the initial investigation, Francisco Dominguez used his hands to hit the male victim, 57, several times during the alcohol-involved incident that happened between roughly 8:50 and 9:10 p.m. in the 2000 block of Fran Mar Drive. The victim’s eyes were swollen shut from the battery that occurred in Dominguez’s residence. He (victim) also suffered a partially dismembered big toe.
The victim went to a nearby residence for help and was transported to the hospital for treatment by Hall County Fire Rescue. Dominguez left the scene in a vehicle.
Dominguez was then involved in a wreck, investigated by the Georgia State Patrol. He left the scene of the crash, but was taken into custody by HCSO deputies on Moore Lane at approximately 11 p.m. Dominguez was taken to the hospital to be checked out before being booked at the Hall County Jail.
He’s being held without bond.”
