“As unimaginable as this is to decent people, there are a couple of guys who have been approaching local businesses posing as spokesmen for Syfan Logistics, asking for financial donations for Hurricane Helene victims. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗴𝘂𝘆𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀!
Yes, Syfan Logistics has been collecting non-perishable items all week for hurricane victims (so far, 12 trailers have been filled thanks to the generosity of the community), but 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗼𝗿-𝘁𝗼-𝗱𝗼𝗼𝗿 to solicit money or goods.
Unfortunately we do not have a good description of the offenders at this time. If and when we get more details, we’ll let you know. What we ask today is that you be very mindful as you donate especially if you are giving money.”
