A 20-year-old man was killed early Wednesday when a tree fell onto a mobile home where he was sleeping.
Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) deputies were dispatched to the residence in the 2300
block of Athens Highway just before 4:45. When they arrived, they found a large
tree had crushed a section of the mobile home, trapping the victim in his bed. A second
male resident of the home, who was in the same part of the residence, sustained non-life
threatening injuries.
The victim has been identified as Henry Geovanny Mendez Aguilar, a Guatemalan national
who was in the United States on a work visa.
