Gville man gets new term on state board; Local game warden recognized; Fire chief retires

*Scott Gibbs of Gainesville has been named by Gov. Kemp to a new term on the Georgia Board of Community Affairs.

*Cpl. Ryan Locke, a state game warden assigned to Lake Lanier, has been named Operation Dry Water Officer of the Year by the state Department of Natural Resources.

*White County Fire Services Division Chief Mike Lefevre has retired. Lefevre has served in the post the past two years. He spent a quarter century in fire service work. Lefevre says he plans to spend more time with his wife, children, and grandchildren and he is excited to spend more time playing music in his Christian music group, the LeFevre Quartet.
