A 17-year-old Braselton man charged last month by Hall County authorities in a child molestation case now faces an additional charge of child sexual exploitation.
Martin Fuentes-Garcia was first arrested July 25 after Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) investigators determined the suspect had molested a female victim, who was under the age of 16. A family member learned about the incident, which occurred in May, and reported it to authorities in June.
During the course of the investigation, investigators seized a cell phone from Fuentes-Garcia. Forensic processing of the phone turned up video evidence of the molestation, the sheriff’s office said Wednesday. As a result, Fuentes-Garcia was booked at the Hall County Jail on a felony charge of sexual exploitation of a minor on Monday.
He remained in jail with no bond at mid-morning Wednesday.
