The Hall County Animal Shelter will open the doors to a new Intake Center on Tuesday.
The new center, located through the shelter’s side entrance, will serve people bringing in their pets for veterinary care, such as vaccines, microchipping and surgery drop-offs. It will also provide intake for stray drop-offs and owner surrenders. The shelter’s main entrance will continue to be used for adoptions. walk-throughs and to reunite pets with their owners.
“We have adjusted space inside the facility to address intake and clinic visits separate from those looking to reunite with or adopt a new pet,” Hall County Animal Shelter Manager Stephanie Maloch said. “This new Intake Center will allow us to streamline the process for both sides of the Shelter and provide a more comfortable environment for both animals and their owners.”
The Intake Center will be open for stray drop-offs Tuesday through Friday, 9:00-4:00. All other services, including owner surrenders and clinic visits, will still require an appointment, which may be made by calling 678-450-1587.
