A parking lot accident on Atlanta Highway early Sunday landed a Duluth woman in the Hall County Jail on DUI and drug trafficking charges.
HALL CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE (HCSO) NARRATIVE:
…Hall County Fire Rescue and Flowery Branch Police were already on scene, where a driver had crashed her vehicle in a parking lot. According to the preliminary investigation, the vehicle hit the curb in the lot, went down an embankment and got stuck on a retention wall.
Fire rescue personnel assessed the driver, Ha Hoang Dang, 30, of Duluth for injuries. She was OK.
HCSO continued its preliminary investigation and arrested Dang for DUI-alcohol.
When inventorying the vehicle prior to towing, deputies found roughly 50 grams of marijuana, 12 tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) pens, scales and plastic bags. In addition to DUI, they charged Dang with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and possession of THC oil with intent to distribute, each a felony.
Dang is being held in the Hall County Jail without bond.”
