GEORGIA STATE PATROL NARRATIVE:
“On July 14, 2024, at 12:45pm, Troopers were dispatched to SR 365 at Lula Rd to investigate a crash. Upon arrival their investigation determined the following sequence of events:
A Toyota Rav 4 was stopped in the northbound left turn lane on SR 365 (Cornelia Highway) facing a red traffic control signal at the intersection of SR 52 (Lula Road). A Hyundai Sonata was stopped in the northbound left turn lane on SR 365 behind the Toyota. The Driver of the Hyundai began traveling forward and struck the rear bumper of the Toyota with the front bumper of the Hyundai.
The driver of the Hyundia, Maria Murillo 54 of Lawrenceville, GA was cited with following too closely, two violations of safety restraint (under 8 years of age) and two warnings of improper child restraints.”
