One arrest in molestation case involving toddler

A 30-year-old Oakwood man is being held without bond following his recent arrest on a child molestation charge in a case involving a toddler.

Detective Sgt. Stewart Webb said Monday that he responded July 3 to a call from another officer regarding a child molestation investigation.

“I responded to the complainant’s location and spoke to her about (the victim) complaining about her daddy touching her private parts and (wanting) him to stop,” Sgt. Webb said.

Webb added the victim was “brought in for a forensic interview and did disclose enough information to allow me to obtain an arrest warrant for Aggravated Child Molestation against the (suspect).”

Joshua Richards was arrested at his Oakwood home. He’s being held in the Hall County Jail without bond.
